At the risk of being contentious, this is what a man should smell like.A hugely complex composition that feels considered and bold. Opening spicy and fruity, then easing into a woodsy, slightly leathered dry-down filled with darkness and sweet resinous depth that’s dense and opulent. It plays polite but absolutely owns the room with a real heft that just oozes class.I’m told they pump this through the air conditioning in Penhaligon’s stores. I can’t speak to that as there aren’t any where I live. Perhaps that’s a blessing, as I fear this might take the shine off it for me. In any case, what a great perfume.

This is near identical to Oud Malaki.I have OM and bought a sample of this and sprayed them next to each other. It was difficult to smell the difference.Either way, great scent as i love OM already.

they should spray dune 3 movie theaters with this just to make the experience even more realistic. can be headache-inducing.

I can't see a female wearing this not saying a female can't wear it, however it's your classic very masculine fragrance.

By the time you reach the dry-down, it becomes even more beautiful. It’s not a one‑dimensional fragrance, not even in the dry-down, which is sweeter than the opening yet still layered. You can smell the quality from start to finish.I know some people like to call it “challenging,” but I honestly wonder if those who say that have worn it long enough to experience the full journey.
