Royal Aura : Our Creation of Alien Eau de Toilette by Mugler is a radiant oriental woody fragrance designed for women. Introduced in 2009, this luminous scent opens with a refreshing burst of citrus and mandarin orange. At its heart lies a sensual blend of Moroccan jasmine and delicate white florals, evoking a celestial femininity. The base lingers with the smooth warmth of white amber and the soft, musky character of cashmeran, creating an ethereal and lasting impression.
It's cool...It's a'ight...I ain't mad at it.Easier for me to wear than the OG....but it's STILL Alien. Just doesn't require as much thought when applying compared to it's predecessor.I agree with nicole.3's review below 100%. Perfect description.
OG Alien, but you accidentally spilled your vaguely citrus-flavored La Croix on her, and now she's somehow even more fabulous. :P You definitely have to appreciate the general Alien DNA to enjoy the EDT. I love them both for different reasons and can't pick a favorite between the two.@SimplyKenyetta, haha! Thank you so much. I honestly couldn't think of any other way to describe this one. <3
I can’t believe I’ve never done a review for this! Alien edt has been my signature since it was released. I fell in love with the uniqueness of the edp but I also found it strong and heady. The edt is suitable for all weather imo which is what I want from a perfume..to be able to wear it all year round. It also ticks the huge box for me which is longevity and projection..imo it’s amazing for an edt! It performs better than some recent expensive edp’s! I get beautiful whiffs of this addicting scent for around 9-10 hours on me without a re spray! I can’t believe it’s been around since 2009 because to me it’s still got a modern feel too it and it will always be my signature. If they ever discontinued it I would be devastated 😭
Alien EDT opens with a strong dose of jasmine and cashmere! Its sharp, and almost peppery or woody? A bit too much for me, so I have to avoid sniffing my skin directly until it settles in for a good 10-20 minutes ^^; I like it better on my clothing, though! It dries down into a softly soapy blend that's delicate and cozy~ I wish I could detect the citrus or amber? They're in the background helping things round out, but not discernable to my nose.. Still, it's a comforting scent like a warm blanket wrapped around you, fresh out of the dryerI prefer the EDT to the powerhouse that is the EDP! They share the same DNA, and have a lot in common, but the EDT's lighter intensity is what I end up reaching for.. Both are lovely for fall and winter! I think I've just been spoiled by Goddess and Hypersense, because those Aliens are truly perfect to me and the EDP/EDT feel slightly lacking ever since
I have loved Alien for many years, but it was actually the EdT that I started wearing first. It took me some time to grow into the EdP given the phenomenal performance it had back then, and once I did the EdT got less and less of my attention. I still have that first bottle which has obviously macerated but never turned. I am wearing it for the first time in a long while and this reaquaintance has given me almost a second chance at a first impression. The opening is already a little different from the EdP. The kinship is immediately clear, unlike with many contemporary offerings which reinterpret the DNA completely (Burberry Her comes to mind), but I feel that the EdT is a version of Alien that exposes the construction of the EdP. It opens with a beautiful, juicy and fresh jasmine note (think of a sweet but crisp green apple), and this aspect remains throughout, but becomes more transparent, revealing neroli or perhaps petitgrain and vetiver in the drydown. I feel like the amber isn't really there as much. So at the end of its development (on the skin, not on clothes where it smells much like it does out of the bottle) it feels fresh, woody and impeccably clean, reminding me of the classic mugler cologne (original DNA). It's similar enough to the Alien EdP, but different in delightful ways. On me this probably received more compliments than the EdP has.
