Creation of Dior Sauvage Elixir Perfume

Smells like everybody and their dads ever.

this was one of the first fragrances i ever bought myself as a teenager. i understand why it’s hated, but man i love sauvage. i haven’t had a full bottle since i was a teenager but sauvage was how i found out how much i love peppery fragrances. i still remember the scent like it was yesterday. plus there’s a cool bee design on the inside of the cap.

I haven’t worn this for a long time but I wore the dregs of my bottle today and it was surprisingly unpleasant. This scent profile is definitely overplayed and the ambroxan overdose smells obnoxious to me. Won’t be repurchasing as I vastly prefer YSL Y edt for my 1 blue scent.

This is one of those love to hate/hate to love fragrances for me.It has everything you want in a fragrance, solid performance and projection, a pleasant smell, its popular for a very good reason. That being said, the performance and projection being so strong gives me a headache any time I would wear it, and I would hear more comments about smelling like an ex or brother moreso than I would get compliments for it. I also think with me being in high school when this came out, Im used to smelling it too much. I think too with it being around and popular for as long as its been, it just doesnt smell unique to me and Ive had more negative experiences with it than positive.

Man Idk about other peoples skin but on my skin this stuff lasts for 12 hours! I love the smell of sauvage edt it's unique attention grabbing and sharp and so long lasting for an edt I have heard about reformulation killing the performance maybe that's the case for projection (fragrances don't project on me at all or maybe im chopped idk) but not longevity overhated fragrance will continue to buy!
